Xbox 360 Flash Upgrades
We are still recommending Flash upgrade for the XBOX360, this will enable partial region free as well as the ability to play backup games which means you can protect your originals. All drives can now be upgraded including the new BENQ drive.
Note that Microsoft are banning people that are detected running backups on XBOX live. If you plan to connect to xbox live then it may be possible in the future that Microsoft will ban your console from XBOX live. This does NOT mean your console can't still play stand alone games and backups. It JUST means you won't be able to connect to live. For those of you that never intend to connect to Xbox live, then there is no problem. Your console can always be reflashed back to its original state if you change your mind. I am using the latest iextreme firmware for samsung and Hitachi drives and will always use the latest firmware. These are reportedly safe one Xbox live but I do not guarantee this.
There is still no advantage in installing a mod chip compared to a flash upgrade as those using chips have also been banned. We will install a DVDrom media upgrade chip if you insist but be aware it costs twice as much as a flash upgrade and more than a PS2 upgrade, for not much functionality compared to a XBOX 1 or PS2 chip.
Pricing for flash upgrade is $80, again we will match any verifiable competitive price.
SPECIAL!!! Trade in your old working XBOX1 and I will upgrade your Xbox 360 for FREE.
We will also be soon offering Xbox 360 Hard drives for sale which will be far more cost effective than the $200 for 20 gig drive presently available. Note it is not yet possible to copy games to the hard drive OR run any freeware such as XBMC.
We also repair Xbox 360 with 3 red lights of death, please call me for details. Note if your console has never been opened your best course of action is to return the unit to Microsoft regardless of the age or status of warranty. Because it is a manufacturing defect they are obligated to repair it.
We stand by our 3 Red light repair with a 3 month warranty or your money back. So far we have not had a single unit returned, even after the 3 month period!! We do not use hair dryers/ towel tricks, we repair the basic problem.
Nintendo Wii modchips, Wii-key and D2C-key install service
Nintendo Wii can be modified using Wiikey or latest core code in Wiifree.
The Wiikey has recently been updated, so now I am installing wiikey by default. Genuine hologram wiikey. Wiifree is still available by request, the pricing for wiikey or Wiifree is still the same.
Wii mod is a very reliable backup playing mod which can:
- Run gamecube backups
- Partial regionfree support for gamecube games (originals and backups)
- Run Wii originals
- Run Wii backups
- Run Wii games from different regions (originals and backups)!!
- Support for DMS, D2A and D2B!!
- configurable Speedfix
- Support for all media: DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW
Price for Wiikey OR Wiifree is $80., once again we will match any verifiable competitive price
Please verify your chipset using the link below

If your Wii is new it is probably a D2C chipset and as such requires either a D2C-Key or D2Pro modchip fitted. I presently carry both chips. We are also carrying the NEW D2C2 D2PRO and we have seen a few very latest model Wii with these chipsets
9 wire D2PRO is $139 inclusive of chip and installation, D2Pro 19 wire is $160, and is also in stock, D2C-Key is $160 .D2Pro is much lower wire count and hence less labour to install but the modchip is a lot more expensive.
Note the 19 wire D2-pro modchip uses a similar patching method as D2C-Key, the 9 wire D2-Pro uses a different patching technique the major difference is that the 9 wire chips are more likely to require updating which should be done via a special programmer. The newest beta firmware for D2PRO however allows updating via DVD but the D2PRO website still recommends use of the programmer.
Worst case is you may need to bring it back for reprogramming for a nominal charge ($20) if it is ever required. 9 wire is easier far easier to install so the price is lower.
We believe the 19 wire is more reliable, stable and less susceptible to requiring updates but it does cost an extra $20 in labour. I am now installing 9 wire by default unless you specify 19 wire because DVD updatability is presently not available on the 19 wire.
For those of you who are interested here are some pictures of a D2C-key install
The D2C-Key or D2pro are effective solutions for the new chipset in the Nintendo Wii. There are also no problems with the very latest game releases and no patches are required. Both installs are very labor intensive and should not be attempted by someone who has not had years of experience with soldering fine components. Note functionally there is no differance between D2pro and D2-key, D2Pro maybe more reliable because of the decreased wire count.
